DUers: You miss the OVERALL..we need a DEM, any DEM, in the WH..
Edited on Sun Sep-21-03 10:07 AM by TruthIsAll
I keep hearing that:
Clark has no experience, Dean is not a liberal, Kerry is Skull & Bones, Lieberman is a DINO, Gephardt praised Bush on the WH lawn, Kucinich is too liberal, Graham has no charisma, Mosely is unelectable, neither is Sharpton, Gore (if he ran) is not a fighter...

Well, I, too, plead guilty of having contributed to the above diatribes. I, too, have expressed my displeasure with actions and/or statements from Lieberman, Kerry, Gephardt...

BUT...We have ONE objective..to get rid of the Bushco cabal.

Hell, I KNOW this is not a true democracy, but it should never be allowed to become a fascist dictatorship either..which is what it is becoming.

At minimum, I want to see someone in the WH who can speak without a teleprompter, who is willing to go before the press..and MOST OF ALL...DOES NOT INSULT MY INTELLIGENCE..

OUR ENEMY IS BUSH...AND DIEBOLD...

Holy Joe Lieberman himself would be infinitely better than this moronic, imbecilic, catastrophic, egocentric, MISERABLE FAILURE in the WH.

Repeat after me:
Any Dem is better then Bushit..Any Dem is better then Bushit..Any Dem is better then Bushit..Any Dem is better then Bushit..Any Dem is better then Bushit..Any Dem is better then Bushit..Any Dem is better then Bushit..

Bush will only be toast if WE put HIM in the toaster..not a DEM..

1. True, any Dem is better than the Spawn of Satan...
...but I would caution people that posting articles that are negative about their particular candidate is not necessarily a bad thing. We shouldn't bury our heads in the sand--the negativity will surface in the press, and we must know what is out there so we can fight it!

2. Agreed. I've been
staying completely out of the flamefests. I still have a lot to learn about the candidates before I make up my mind, but will vote for whichever gets the nomination. A few would require me to hold my nose however.

3. I will support the Dem nominee
That goes without saying but I will also voice my opinion as to who that nominee should or should not be. I am tired of the 'Here's why your candidate can't win' threads. All those threads do for me is to turn me off to the candidate the thread is meant to support.

7. YES!
If Clark loses the primary, I will volunteer for and donate to any Democratic candidate, save maybe LaRouche.

And, folks, if you take a close look at Lieberman's voting record even he's OK. He takes some stances that makes him look right wing, but his broad voting pattern is liberal. (And, yes, I hate him too.)

8. We should have TWO objectives: rid the WH of Bush and...
...restoring our government to some semblence of democracy.

- You can't even get close to the second objective without paying attention to which candidate best reflects democratic values and principles.

11. I agree with one part
though I think "contributing" and "expressing displeasure" are a hilariously understated way of characterizing your dem-bashing ways. :-)

But anyway, here's to being a "dem loyalist." :toast:
