Kent Conrad on CSPAN-2
Kent Conrad (D-ND) is ripping Bush* a new Whistle Ass over his budget and the 87b. "Let's get serious around here! We're in disastrous deficit and debt. And we're being asked to spend..."

Awesome! Dang, he just ended. Someone needs to find a transcript of this speech.

1. One thing he pointed out was $200,000 each in that budget request

for 500 "experts" to investigate human rights violations in Iraq! Just for one year. What a crock. I see plenty of human rights violations around here. They wanted $1,000,000 each for 200(?) families to be put into witness protection programs. Conrad was magnificent.

5. Amazing
Dakotans should take great pride in this guy. He made an airtight case with facts and figures and followed it up with passion. He was great.

2. Nice to see Conrad's good for something
I never hear anything about what the guy is doing. Makes me worry sometimes. Dorgan I hear a lot about and Pomeroy I've actually run into twice in person (just out of the blue)... so I know what's up with them....

3. I saw this!!!
Solid presentation with lots of good quotes from the Budget Office, etc...stated his case really well, and although a bit dry at first, he got quite emotional towards the end as he started talking about the $200,000 for 'experts' etc...

4. That was an outstanding presentation.
I loved the way he used the CBO and the Comptroller General...BushCo's people...against 'em.

But sheesh, what a mess this misadministration has made of everything!
