Cindy Sheehan's media victory |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 08:36 PM by Generator
This may be obvious. But I just have to say..the very FACT that such nutbag luminaries as the vaunted Christopher Hitchens, Ann Coulter and the sometimes actually lucid Pat Buchanan (he's anti-Iraq war, pro-Bush,another kind of nutjob) are attacking, mentioning, discussing, Ms. Cindy Sheehan is an enormous victory. The fact that she is the SUBJECT of a whole hour hit piece on CNN in prime time shows just how dangerous and close to the nerve she really is hitting. Hardball apparently had to resort to Christopher Hitchens, whom they only reserve for real attack dog diatribes in their time of most need-aka-let's trash them quick and dirty.
The media is getting so transparent. It's just not the president who isn't wearing any clothes.
The anti-war MOM whose SON DIED in a WAR based on LIES is the top story. It was even the TOP story on my local Channel 8-NBC affiliated news tonight. Yes, they "balanced" it with a mom who said HER son who was wounded in Iraq wouldn't want her to say those things because it would be "just like how we treated them in Vietnam".
Apparently, two other local Portland moms are heading out to Crawford. Their question: (oh baby on TEEVEE!) would President Bush be willing to sacrifice his child for this war?
Attack dogs of August continue. We know your game. We know truth is on our side.

1. how can any decent human being |

attack Cindy? Anyone that does, is a traitor to American values, anti-family, and unpatriotic.
This is a great litmus test for those who say they support the soldiers, but in fact do not.

3. A very good point is being made here. |

If they really saw no danger in her and what she's doing, they'd have ignored her and expected her to just fade away. She's not, and she's building steam...therefore she must be attacked and discredited.
They're running scared now. It's actually quite amusing to see.

It'll be interesting to see how low the media stoops in the coming weeks to bash Cindy Sheehan. She's struck to the very core of all these lies and the media's sickening spin machine will trott out all the dogs to go after her, no doubt. Really, it's more Orwellian day by day. But you are absolutely correct; she's propelled the discussion right to the top and that's nothing but fantastic. Victory indeed! :toast:

6. I think more and more parents of fallen soldiers will be |

speaking out against Bush. Knowing that your son or daughter fought and died in VAIN in an illegal war is something most of them don't want to accept.
