My Mom's Bush-lovin' co-worker has finally had enough! |
|
The rising gas prices and his response - or should I say, lack of response - to Katrina is what did him in! :bounce:

that the core of Bush's base are people who worry only about their own comfort and their own well being. Gas prices are hurting them-and bad. And many either have relatives/friends on the Gulf Coast OR they realize that this is how homeland security isn't working and are thinking about what would happen if we had a terrorist incident.

2. I think that this is the year.... |

that things are coming into clear focus for many Bush supporters. From Schiavo, to the gas crunch, and now to his lack of response and compassion for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. We will be looking back to realize that this was the watershed year, the turning point in which many of us finally came to grasp the reality of what this administration really is - uncaring, un-compassionate, and greedy as all hell.

5. Their own comfort has been/will be affected. |
|
Delay in helping New Orleans has led to additional flooding (see Mayor Nagin's interview with WDSU), and longer time to drain. An additional 4 weeks of oil and gas interruption will increase prices further, thereby increasing profits further.
Bush supporters will have to pay like the rest of us.

3. i truly believe that a lot of bush voters |
|
just drank the kool-aid and were really still in shock from 9-11 the Repuke propaganda painted it patriotic to vote for the Shrub. It was mostly the marketing of shrub that got him most of his votes. When the blinders come off and the people that are not hard core freeper types see him for what he is there will be a back lash. I think it is happening now. The propaganda, PR, talking points etc. swayed a lot of people. The truth may be starting to shine through.
