Jerry Nachman talking about Rush (MSNBC) |
|
He said that the NY Daily News 'matched' a story from the National Enquire. BUT he said that in stories like this, the National Enquire is almost always right in stories like this. They have to be in order to protect themselves from lawsuits.

what's sad about this? what goes around comes around. the mighty windbag of the right has been punctured at last. as someone suggested yesterday, this should be a national holiday.

5. True about the Enquirer... |
|
The "legitimate" media likes to trash them, but Enquirer is scrupulous about stories like this one.
During the OJ trial, a few non-supermarket news outlets grudgingly admitted that their coverage was among the most accurate. (Terribly sensationalistic, too, but whose wasn't?)

6. They've lost enough lawsuits... |
|
to know how far they can push the envelope. I don't think they would have run a story like this unless their lawyers were sure it would stand up to litigation.
And notice that Rush's response isn't, "I'm going to sue the bastards!" but a much milder, "I don't know anything about an investigation." It's true, all right.

I'm a die-hard weekly reader of the Enquirer and the Star (don't ask). They are normally such g-damn conservative Bushbots that I am surprised they're even printing this at all. I do believe that it must be true, or they would never do it - too much liability.
Remember that it was their office and their photographer that received the anthrax letters. The photographer died, and he's the one who took the photo of Jenna rolling around drunk on the floor. Funny he ended up dead, isn't it?

12. Not a weekly reader, but you are correct, bunnyj |
|
The Enquirer is disgustingly conservative. I seriously dislike their gossip columnist, who never tires of bashing the Clintons and liberal actors (Martin Sheen seems to be a favorite target). This weeks rag has a column about reader's response to the removal of the 10 commandments monument. I was SHOCKED, SHOCKED I tell you when they reported that 8 out of 10 of their readers supported leaving the monument in place. I'm sure the same readers would wholeheartedly support a monument to Allah or Buddha (NOT!)

10. Now Nachman is talking with another MSNBC journalist |
|
He is taking up for Rush and saying that it's a double standard. In other words, blacks can get away with saying certain things that whites can't.
