So...did I miss their Iraqi expatriate guest who advocates Iraq take a "more confrontational" stance against the U.S.?

If the Dalai Lama had stayed and fought, and encouraged other Tibetans to fight in 1959, while at the same time approached the US about support through the UN for a peacekeeping action, this strategy might have gotten somewhere.
But that's not really what the Dalai Lama is all about, you know...:shrug:

He was turned down because Tibet wasn't a member. Do your homework instead of blaming a man that has carried the plight of Tibet to the entire world. The Tibetans forced HH to leave to protect him.
