am I being a "liberal elitist" if I really, truly believe . . . |
|
that anyone who can possibly consider Bush a good (or even an adequate) president is either a) really, really stupid, or b) really, really ignorant, or c) both? . . . because that's exactly how I feel . . . no one with half a brain could support Bush and his neocon minions, and those that do are, by my definition, complete morons . . .
there . . . I said it . . .

...with order, autocracy, military might and nationalism.
I kinda feel sorry for them, actually. Imagine generalized anxiety that breeds a hostile fear of everyone who is unlike you. It's a sickness.

international relations, the budget, jobs, civil rights, environment, etc. But the freepers like him because he works for a "Higher Power." This seems to fit both a) and b).

America had a coup. We are being controlled by men (out of the spotlight) who have their own agenda. They have taken the greatest power in the world and are using it for whatever they deem. We need the worlds' help in restoring America.

That whole thing with there being a group of people really ruling things sounds a little like a tinfoil hat theory to me. I'm not a fan of GWBush, I wasn't a fan of WJClinton either. With Bush, I don't like him because he's too conservative. With Clinton, his politics were great, but he had no moral character. Oh well. Maybe someday a decent one will come along.

GWBush surely has greater character than WJClinton. There haven't been scores of women claiming that he assaulted them. So, here's my opinion...GWBush is of higher moral fiber than WJClinton...WJClinton is of better political fiber than GWBush. Despite my love of Clinton policy, I cannot overlook his lack of character. For example, I would feel comfortable with my wife alone with GWBush, I would never let my wife be alone with WJClinton. I cannot support GWBush because of his politics, I cannot support WJClinton because of his behavior. It is that simple. Our party has to realize that character does matter, and I think we are finally starting to understand that. Good for us.

8. Not elitist (well, maybe a little) |

Just a person with a strong opinion. Keep in mind that half this country or so tends to vote Republican. Writing them off as stupid, inferior etc. is not a good formula for winning elections, IMHO. The reason politicians like Clinton, Reagan etc. are so succesful is that they're able to reach across the center and pick off voters from the other party.
