Gov condemns rumors about violence..Says there "Are no Riots!" |
|
She said that the altercations were more like scuffles. and that the rumors were upsetting people in the Dome. The state police supported this and sais that all of the rumors about violence are consuming valuable time and resources and are by and large not panning out. A chief official from the LSU medical system said that the rumors of his hospitals being breached were unfounded. This is a major urban area and there will be some violence, but the rumors are out of hand. This info was on Gov. Glanco's news comference this afternoon. Also *The dome is now being evacuated and over 300 busses had already left. *The 17th st sandbagging is progressing and they are driving pilons between the lake and the canal. *food and water are getting into the dome *the water level has stopped rising by the side of the dome.

3. There's a LOT of violence in NO on a regular day... |
|
a situation like this could only inflame it.
But it's interesting that they claim the press is reporting rumors as news... what's reality??

5. The M$M needs to stop trying to foment violence |
|
They are being completely irresponsible.
Hurricanes even big ones are survivable events. People need food, water and a tarp and they can get by. In New Orleans' case we also have the flood, dirty water problem, so all those people have to be relocated. This is not that big a deal. We have the resources to do this. Florida does it all the time.
The M$M needs to stop squawking and become a resource for emergency information. This is their job during an emergency. Them and everyone just needs to quite freaking out and roll up our sleeves and get to work. We can do this.
