Middle of the night emergency Congressional session, bush flying in from |
|
Crawford in the middle of the night to sign legislation, HUGE sense of urgency, tons of crowds DEMANDING ACTION, people all over the country screaming about it.
Am I talking about the Gulf Coast right now?
No. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about?
Yep. One woman who had been in a vegetative state for many years. One woman whose case had gone through court after court. One woman people were screaming about because they were saying she was dying of dehydration, in tons of pain. Now that one woman didn't do anything to anyone, but the religious right were screaming their fool heads off about her.
Now we have thousands of people trapped with no food or water on the Gulf Coast. Many have already died of dehydration and unchecked medical problems and heat. Many more are dying right NOW of dehydration. Unfortunately even more will probably die of dehydration in the next 24 hours.
Where's the screaming and yelling from those same people? Where's the huge sense of urgency from them? Where's the middle of the night emergency Congressional session?

But whatever it is, I hope he keeps at it. Maybe it's a truth-doobish.

2. And from I heard - that wasn't even constitutional |
|
It's against the const. to make legislation for a single individual. Heard it on Bernie Ward last night and wondered about that. But I wouldn't be surprised that they do whatever they want no matter what.

They were interfering in a case that had ALREADY been through the courts over and over and over again!
This isn't even the case here! This is thousands of people who are LITERALLY dying as I type.
Where are the religious righties refusing to drink any water until the people trapped in NO get water?
