I just had a customer talk with me about the disaster in New Orleans. After bitching about conditions down there, and how screwed up the relief efforts have been, she actually said this:

"You can't blame Bush. It's too much for one man."

Then a few seconds later:

"Clinton really screwed things up down there."

WTF?!? Looks like they ARE drinking the Kool-Aid, folks. We have to work even harder to get our message out: CLINTON WAS WORKING ON THE PROBLEM, BUT BUSH WANTED THE MONEY ELSEWHERE!

Dwight Eisenhower sent federal troops to Little Rock during school desegregation in that city. JFK led through the Cuban Missile Crisis. These men were LEADERS. The American people looked to them in trying times.

Now, we have a blithering idiot at the helm whose only skills are passing the buck, deflecting blame, and injecting tragedy and misery into everything he's put his incompetent hand to. Most importantly, he can't LEAD. He wants the perks that come with the job, with none of the inherent headaches. Why is he THERE?

You might want to let your customer know that Bill Clinton hasn't been President since January 20, 2001. When Junior took the helm at noon on that particular day, he also took responsibility for whatever crises, successes and screw-ups occur here from that day on. It's all about ACCOUNTABILITY. If he doesn't want to lead this country and accept that accountability, it's time to put somebody else in who DOES want it, and has all of the above-stated qualities the current occupant sorely lacks.

To paraphrase an old saying my grandparents used, these people have more excuses for that "moran" than Carter has liver pills.
