I think Ctrl-H in Internet Explorer clears the cache (images saved on your machine so they won't have to be fetched again from the web). This is used by a web designer when they've updated a graphic and they want that update reflected in their browser.
I don't think it finds "lost threads" - whatever those are.

I am using IE 6.0. It opens the history window on the left.
OK, not Lost threads, I should have been more clear: Threads that you have posted in and are unable to find.

I use Opera - haven't used the Microsoft browser in years. Others here use Firefox and Netscape.
The history feature in Opera is similar: Ctrl-Alt-H.
