Loaded with emrgency supplies. AS well, the Urban Search and Rescue team from Vancouver was the FIRST S&A team on the ground and working. In fact, the local authorities took DOWN the US flag and flew the maple leaf as the team was leaving.
As well, Canadian have ponied up over 2 million in induvidual donations to the Red cross, PLUS the red cross and salvation army volunteers. The US ambassador was on a Vancouver radio station today thanking Canada profusely for their help.She doesn't know this because, and I've been watching... CNN has reorted false information about what we have done.

And tell your mom to bite me.

I think I know why my mother doesn't like Canada. The Canadians she's known, including a cousin of hers, try to tell her the truth and she won't listen. She's hated Canada for awhile now. Personally, I like Canadians...always have. :shrug:

This just shows how screwed up things are under BushCo. US-Canada governmental relations are already strained because of this administration's misadventures in Iraq, so they go out and reject Canadian aid and then lie and say it was never offered?
As a neighbor in your border state of Michigan, I apologize on behalf of the government I didn't vote for. Why Canada remains such a good friend to this despotic mess boggles my mind. I wish Ontario could just annex Michigan and get us the hell out of here!

Three Canadian warships, a coast guard vessel and three Sea King helicopters will be sent to Louisiana on Tuesday with relief supplies for the U.S. Gulf Coast.
