The constitution....just a piece of old paper...
I occasionally post on a local forum. The posters are about 50-50 pro-* and anti-*. I believe the 50% pro-* must be freepers as occasionally they will link there. I had posted an article talking about the Padilla decision. A couple of us kicked it a few times because it kept sinking fast.

Finally, someone decided to comment. I had to read this three times because I couldn't believe what was being said. I hope this isn't the latest talking point (the group on this forum does stick pretty close to the talking points as a rule). Posts like this just make me feel so desperate. How can you even intelligently respond to this? I am still just speechless.

Sometimes you have to go against the constitution because it is the right thing to do. I believe common sense overrides the interpretation of a piece of paper that was written many moons ago. I also believe it is the will of the people that should decide many of the issues facing our country today. It just bothers me that one judge can overrule what the people voted for.

The liberals do no use common sense, they use feeeeeelings.
