New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin on "Meet the Press" tells Russert he didn't want to get into rating the performance of Bush. "He had some low level people telling him it was a serious situation, but not that serious" the Mayor says to Russert. Then Nagin decribes Bush as taking appropriate steps from that time forward.
When it came to Gov. Blanco, Nagin was not so ready to relieve her of responsibility.
The corporate media will surely pick up on this and shift the blame to Blanco.
I believe Nagin has let Chimpyboy off of the hook. That's my take anyway.
Before any Nagin fans jump in to defend him, please see the replay og Meet the Press.

1. Bush has Nagin by the balls at the moment |

Nagin knows he has no choice but to say, 'Yes, master' at least until the end of the crisis part of the disaster.
It is not up to Nagin to bring Bush down or to call his on his failure to lead. That is the job of Congress, those folks WE voted for to represent us.
Nagin is just trying to save what is left of his city and finish cleaning up the dead.
