i'm glad we've all gotten over 9-11, & now we can move on |
|
the stonewalling and secrecy of the administration have been successful, other issues have taken over, and we've moved beyond caring about or looking into 9-11. it was all so complicated and bothersome and ultimately, it may have led to a messy, annoying impeachment, which would be bad for our country.
we can rest easy now, that all those restless spirits have quieted down, and all the families can forget about evidence and facts. we know, that the president knew in advance, and didn't think enough of us to warn us, but that's o.k., we should get on with our daily live's as consumer/workers. we kicked a bunch of asses in afghanistan, and iraq, so i guess we're even steven now.
i'm glad that i don't have to think about how our own government set up, and executed the greatest political hoax ever conceived by evil men. how our own government, who we look to with trust, summarily executed 3000 individuals to make aWol look like he had a reason to be where he is. to make him look like a decisive leader. to get him 're' elected. besides, knowing that our own government orchestrated 9-11 has left a bad taste in our mouths. we don't want to talk about it in mixed company, for fear of being labelled a kook. so it's better to just not talk about it. i'm glad.

2. I'm glad, too. Like Garrison Keilor says, We're all republicans now and |
|
we don't have to worry about anything--it's much easier that way. No worrying about children going hungry or world peace, because republicans never look back.

3. Heroic Firemen! Heroic Cops! |
|
The Republicans are going to milk the attack on the Trade Center so much at their convention it will be like revisiting the day. Don't be surprised if Bush doesn't surround himself with heroes of the day. Every other speech will denounce the cowardice of the attack and how we need to keep our strong and powerful Chief Executive in office.
Rudy Giuliani will give a speech. There won't be a dry eye in the house. Children from a special education school in San Diego will recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Patriotic songs will be sung. God will be praised. Vows of vengeance will be repeated over and over. We will never forget! We will never forget!

5. For the 90 millionth time..... |

For the 90 millionths time (maybe 100 millionth time), horse manure like this only serves to obstruct any movement toward a serious investigation. AWOL was (and is) lazy, dumb, shallow, incompetent-- and On Vacation while the intelligence services tried desperately to stop a plot they knew was coming.
But he DID NOT plan and execute the attacks. Neither did the hundreds of military and civil service employees who would have had to help him.
This remains silly, immature, and OFFENSIVE.

7. Another war, another election, another air-brushed photo? |
|
I'm sure that no-one who has seen him lose the fight with an auto-cue would ever think that he (personally) had anything to do with planning any operation more complex than insert_finger/waggle/extract/examine/wipe.
But isn't it convenient how the focus of attention has slowly but steadily drifted away from a certain Tuesday in September? It will soon be at the "Enron", "Foster" or "Grassy Knoll" stage - ready to rot away quietly in the backwaters of history ... where only an occasional tourist will stumble through the layers of accumulating mud, stir up an unpleasant smell then move quickly away again.

15. Mopaul's theory is 'silly...yet no one can offer anything better? |
|
- A couple previous posters seem sure the Bushies had nothing to do with 9-11...but have no plausible theories of their own. They think it's silly even to speculate and theorize because it might hurt the chances of a 'real' investigation taking place.
- Nope. There has been no investigation because it would lead directly to the impeachment of GWB and gang. And THAT might interrupt the oil and cash grab going on in the middle east and DC.
- Call it what you will....but 3000 human beings were slaughtered on American soil and the so-called leader of this country doesn't want it investigated.

16. Bush* and Cheney obstructed justice by demanding there be no... |
|
...investigation into 9-11. The COVERUP continues as the Bush* WH refuses to turn over relevant documents to the '9-11 commission'.
- Some of the doubters might ask themselves why the Bushies are SO AFRAID of the idea of an investigation?
