Local News in CA now mentioning Enron meeting |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-05-03 01:06 AM by AP
granted it was at the end of long segment with ups and downs for Arnold (protesters at rally, lots of people at rally, Romney not showing up, groping, supporters say it's just sleeze (not shit, Arnold is sleezy!), Arnold didn't show up at debate, paper withdrew endorsement), but at least local news is mentioning it.
Davis says internal polling says he's tightening race with Arnold since latest bad news for Arnold has come out (I don't know what that means, though).
No vote on 54 at 49%, yes vote at 35% (or something like that)).

Which local news did this? They need to be praised, and everyone needs to get on their own local news about this.
Now's the time.

One poll in LBN said 48% NO 50% Yes
So it is really starting to move against recall.
I hope that the media keeps the pressure on.

4. Of course they're mentioning it, it's Ahnold, baby, Ahnold! |

If it were anything BUT a serious scandal for one of the other frontrunners, it wouldn't be newsworthy. But because Ahnold is a celebrity, he merits coverage. Hell, the scifi channel is runnning an Ahnold movie marathon this Wednesday, just because he's such an interesting guy I guess.
Ventura got it right today, it's all about Ahnold, and everyone else in the race is treated like garbage. Ahnold and his supporters get plenty of TV face time when they deny the sexual abuse allegations, oh yes it's all sleaze, but all the TV networks give the accusers is a quote from the LA Times flashed in print. Equal time? Hardly.
He's getting so much pumping from every direction, it really is sickening. At this point, it's quite possible that our freep lurkers are correct, and any coverage of his many atrocities simply add to his name recognition.
This is the 2000 media all over again. We should take it as a serious warning for what's to come in 2004. Right now, the Democratic candidates are getting the easy treatment, cos they mostly beat on each other. Once the W campaign kicks into gear, that $250MILLION$ is gonna be buying shrub lots of extremely patriotic face time, and there's going to be a scandal waiting for the Democrat, real or invented. Beware the media whores!

5. Our internal polling says 47 No 52Yes |
|
3% MOE and that is as of This moring; strong movement despite the Arnold spin against him. Just not pushing the other candidates numbers noticably.
I don't know how telmarketers do it. I was on a phone bank all day and holy shit is that just wack. I still hear the dial tone.
We hung over 50,000 door hangers today in So Cal in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. A million statewide they said.
Now if only I could talk to each undecided and explain everything that DUers know.
