John Ellis Bush was released on $2,500 bond for resisting arrest, and on a personal recognizance bond for the public intoxication charge, officials said.

Alia Faraj, the spokeswoman for Jeb Bush said the incident "is a personal family matter" which the governor and his wife "are dealing with privately."

Gov. Bush and his wife Columba appeared Friday evening at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida for a reception. The governor said it was not an appropriate time to discuss specifics of the incident.

"My son's doing fine. It's a private matter. We will support him. We're sad for him. But I'm not going to discuss it on the public square with 30 cameras," the governor said at the downtown Miami event.

Governor.

Prior to being appointed Governor Bush's press secretary, she served as the public affairs director at the Florida Department of Community Affairs (DCA) where she was responsible for directing the agency's overall communications, public information and education efforts. Faraj also responded to crisis events, prepared news releases, organized press conferences and handled public and policy level inquiries.

Before working in state government, Faraj served as the vice president for news operations at Capitol News Service from May 1988 to March 2002, where she was responsible for overall operation of the news department including the production of special events and live coverage. he implies that there will be an appropriate time sometime in the future. Do not let this drop. Keep it on the front burner and make him defend it every day. By the time an "appropriate" time arrives everyone will be so used to hearing about it that any defense he offers will sound contrived and hollow. And any change baby huey bush has of a future presidential run will be kaput.
