money man Allan Sloan should never say never |
|
he was on Wash. Journal this morning and said the govt. would never go broke. impossible.
and he's quite amused by our current debts.
I wonder what it would take to get him unamused?

2. he should read some US History |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 11:42 AM by nadinbrzezinski
the US government has gone bankrupt (Jackson administration) we could not even pay for the bullets for troops and the few civil servants, such as diplomatic staff, had to forgo pay for months at a time
Oh the reason, Jackson was oposed to a national bank... he did not get a national bank but the country went into a deep depresion that lasted close to 20 years
What is the saying? Oh yes, those who refuse to learn from history... are bound to repeat it?

3. In my opinion, he's usually a very reasonable person. |
|
He's in Newsweek and is on NPR, and I think that he's usually the voice of reason. I don't find him at all to be a B* supporter.
Don't know about this one. I'd need more details as to exactly what he said.
