I like him. But he is boring. Before I would have said Graham. But now Kerry. I would have said Edwards, but he is a least a little better looking.

5. Probably Kerry, though I like his speaking style |
|
Dean, Kucinich or Sharpton are most exciting. Haven't seen enough of Clark yet to make a judgment.

7. A close toss up between Kerry and Gephardt |
|
with Lieberman coming in as a very close third. The only thing that saves Lieberman from being in a 3-way tie is that his horrendous whiny voice breaks up the monotone speaking a little bit more than the other two. Edwards wins some bonus points for making a few appearances without reminding us that his Daddy worked in the mill. The easiest to listen to talk is definitely Dean. Clark comes in second. Both are interesting speakers, but Dean is more unpredictable and half the fun in listening to him is knowing that he will likely say something that lampoons Bush better than anyone else can do it. Although Clark is also interesting, sometimes it's a little painful to listen to him because he has a habit of sticking his foot in his mouth at the most inopportune times. He's still learning the game, so that's to be expected, but it does sometimes make me cringe. Dean occassionally sticks his foot in his mouth as well, but he's a lot better at slipping the foot out so smoothly that you hardly even caught that it was in his mouth at all.
We have 3 "Gores" (perceived as painfully boring) in the race...Kerry, Gephardt and Lieberman. The rest at least have some personality to work with.

I'm telling y'all.
After tonight I have one word for Joe.
Schwarzenneger.
Actually, this recall thing has crystallized things all around.

Sharpton is funny, but not a truly serious candidate.
Dean, Clark, Edwards, and Kucinich all have interesting things to say.
Of course, Schwarzenegger is forging a completely new category, that of the "totally incomprehensible.' Somebody should look into it, it seems to work well.
