I saw an interesting bumper sticker on an SUV today
It read "My Oil Addiction Supports Middle East Terror". It was on the tailgate of a big SUV, right on the paint. There was also a "For Sale" sign in the window.

I did a double take, and had to wonder whether the sticker was put there by the owner. Maybe he had an epiphany? Probably not.

2. Sounds like he's been punked.
I wish I had about 100 of those stickers to share . . .

4. Ohhhhh...I want a few hundred of those bumper stickers!
Do you know how much fun I could have, slapping those stickers on the Hummers and other ginormous SUVs that I see tooling around town?

Oh man!

I could do stake outs at strip malls! I could lie in wait in the Chili's parking lot, or get them as they go through the Starbuck's drive-thru.

5. I Think He Must've Gotten Tagged
that is what we call it, anyway...when you go and stick a bumper sticker on someone ELSE's car.

Example...a lot of folks in the last election cycle got Bushtagged. Apparently, some asswipe Bush supporter went out looking for cars belonging to people they knew or suspected were liberals, and Bushtagged them...that is, put W stickers on the cars.

I'd have killed anyone who tried to put a W sticker on MY car!

6. someone put a Wastika over my Kerry sticker during the campaign
...and this was the GOOD Kerry sticker, not the butt-ugly Kerry/Edwards sticker.

luckily, the offending Wastika peeled right off.

7. Dear Clueless - Many Du'ers have an SUV or two
I use mine for my business as a furniture maker as well as my family vehicle. I imagine a fair amount of us would get rid of these things if we had the chance. Mine is leased and you just cannot give it back. I also doubt I could find anyone to take over the payments.

8. I admit I drive one too
I bought it back when I sorely needed a 4x4 and can't afford another car yet. Maybe people look at me funny when they see my GreenPeace and Sierra Club stickers, I don't care. They don't know my situation or why I drive an SUV. The truth is that EVERY gasoline-powered automobile contributes to the problem. Some just more than others. My way around that one is to buy Citgo gasoline (from Venezuela) and pray for the development of affordable, alternatively fueled cars.

9. We Have an SUV, But It is a Hybrid
There are some places that a Prius was not meant to go.
They don't have a lot of ground clearance, and they don't have 4-wheel-drive.
Our other hybrid is a Ford Escape Hybrid.
It is a full hybrid like the Prius, and the most fuel-efficient SUV available.

10. SUV = Solidly Unsellable Vehicle
I'm loving it. The way SUV drivers behave behind the wheels of their SUV's, I'm loving their pain right now.

They wanna sell, or get rid of the SUV's because of high gas prices...and no one wants to buy them because of high gas prices!

I'm lovin' it!!

Serves 'em right for using their big behemoth to INTIMIDATE me on the highways for YEARS now....
