Bush likes dominant women, e.g. Hughes, Rice, and Miers. Barbara Bush |
|
is obviously very dominant.
What would psychologists make of Bush's behavior?

1. I think Miers is more of a toadie. |
|
And, like FDR did by surrounding himself with Catholics and Jews, Bush might like having women around him because they are not a political threat to him as men are.

5. Up to a point you'd be correct.. |

He likes the ones that are "dominant", but submissive to his mission to take away their gender's reproductive freedoms.

12. Dominant women or just plain ugly women? |
|
From that list (Rice, Babs, Laura, Hughes, Miers), there isn't one woman who looks good with the lights on.
It's like his bicycle riding where no one can pass him - he doesn't want any one around who's prettier than he is.

7. Should he nominate passive women to high-level positions? |
|
I have many, many issues with Bush's nominees. That some of the women have dominating personalities is not one of them.

21. The "who cover up for him" is much more important than |

gender or personality. There are plenty of men who cover up for him too.

8. Perhaps he likes the illusion of dominating dominant women |
|
Just a thought. Maybe it gives him little goosebumps, to control strong women, and watch them do his will.
Now...don't go there...fight the urge...don't compare and contrast this to his sex life...if he's human enough to have one, which I doubt, him being frightfully emotionally immature and on meds

9. He has always wanted a momma. He never had one, so he |

tries now to surround himself with adoring mothers. They wait on him, and tell him he's smart; they defend him and make him look normal (at least as much as he can look that way)...

22. That's my take too. They fawn all over him |
|
Miers says she thinks he's the most brilliant man ever, and Condi plays the organ for him at Camp David (that's not a dirty joke) and Karen Hughes lashes out at all his detractors but sucks up to him shamelessly.

Hughes is just desparate for attention.
The only one I would consider dominant is Babs.

13. Hughes is a replacement for Mama Bush, |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 08:08 AM by MoJoWorkin
All other women around him are to be fawning and subservient. Mama Bush had him under her nasty thumb, and he(as the disturbed little boy that he is)needs his "mama," but he also needs to put all the other women in their place---kissing his booties, to get back at "mama." My take, anyway.

Being a strong woman who has definite opinions stated clearly doesn't necessarily make them 'dominant'. I'm not sure that a passive woman, who did NOT have clear opinions and definite ideas could make it in the 'man's world' that is politics. Look at Hillary and our other female senators--she/they are no milquetoasts'.
