keep your eyes on BushCo, Iraq, & the media
Just because our media has been mesmerized by the spectacle they created in California, that doesn't mean Iraq disappeared. It is getting worse there and BushCo's approach of treading water and whistling dixie can not last forever.

Cracks are there in this administration. Traitorgate is linked to the lies about WMD, which have been proven false. Everything they said about Iraq has been proven false within the mainstream. Bush can't hide from this forever. The media can't spin Iraq into a coccoon and make everyone forget. At least not much longer.

We need to hammer the media to report the truth.

Two things can be certain after this travesty in California: the media must be attacked directly and the media is much an enemy to our country as BushCo.

5. On as serious note, I want so badly to agree with you.
But everytime a HUGE scandal comes out about these crooks it just disappears from the media in a week.

Where are the Dems? I know they are loud on CSPAN...but no one really watches that. They need to be calling press conferences and demanding airtime on CNN, etc.

Debate tomorrow should be interesting...hope Dean says TRAITORGATE loud and clear.

:hi:

8. Speaking of "treading water and whistling dixie"
Did you happen to catch a press conference by Porter Goss (R-FL)? The newest spin seems to be that oh, yes, there was some connection between Iraq and Niger--classified, and the Brits have some info. IOW, they've decided not to concede those 16 words after all. Hmmm.

Also, he went to great lengths to explain how leaks can be either intentional or unintentional. Lots too on how common leaks are.

The only good thing about this is that the press ARE asking better questions. I do wonder if one can assume that the 6 attempts by the leaker(s) to get other journalists to take the bait will not lead to any info because the journalists are probably RW types? I'd like to think they'd at least tell the FBI, but how can they even be interviewed--are their names known? I don't expect anyone at the WH to crack....

Goss ended by gushing about how honest and upfront Bush is being wrt the "investigation". HUH.
