LTTE published!! I'm 2 for 2!

For those of you that recall and saw my previous post about this a couple of weeks ago, I did submit a LTTE in the local paper here in Syracuse about my experience with an angry Bush supporter. It was featured in both the online version and print version of today's paper.

It is only my second letter submitted, and both have been published. This one was front and center in the opinion section and included a large graphic in the print edition. To use my old surfer terminology, I'm stoked!

You are so right! I always give the peace sign to those who flip me off because of my bumper stickers. One of which says, "Winning a War is about as likely as winning an Earthquake". From the looks of Iraq, my bumper sticker is RIGHT!

I remember your original post about this, and the disgrace done to you by the asshole who spat. I hope he learns something, eventually, or at least learns how it feels...

Thank you AGAIN for your service to this country (I'll bet the guy who spat at you NEVER served anywhere at all, except maybe at some lunch counter). And thank you also for giving a damn enough to write this down and send it in! I'm glad they published it. People need to know this. I mean, would YOU be proud to stand at the side of someone who spat on one of our veterans? Didn't think so. They're out there. It's important that more people know about them.

10. Thank You. You know, for me, as I am sure it is

with many young military personnel, I just did not comprehend the gravity and depth of what serving in the military really was. When I was sitting in the Red Sea or the Persian Gulf, I did not give hardly a second thought to my predicament or potential danger. I was young. I was unstoppable. I was naive.

Knowing that I am probably not too atypical of many military youngsters, my heart breaks for each one of them that does not come home.

What a terrible fucking loss. What a terrible SHAME on this entire country. It is on people like us to make sure that it ends and that the truth is told. Is that such an impossible and terrible thing to want? TRUTH?

Now I am not as young...but I am still unstoppable, and not nearly as naive...and I will fight until I have my truth.
