Rove's discrepancies In Testimony After Crucial Email Resurfaces…

Fitzgerald appears to be focusing in part on discrepancies in testimony between Rove and Time reporter Matt Cooper about their conversation of July 11, 2003.

In Cooper's account, Rove told him the wife of White House critic Joseph Wilson worked at the "agency" on WMD issues and was responsible for sending Wilson on a trip to Niger to check out claims that Iraq was trying to buy uranium.

But Rove did not disclose this conversation to the FBI when he was first interviewed by agents in the fall of 2003—nor did he mention it during his first grand jury appearance.

Rove then returned to the grand jury last year and reported the Cooper conversation. He testified that the talk was initially about "welfare reform"—a topic mentioned in the e-mail—and that Cooper then changed the subject. Cooper has written that he doesn't recall a discussion of welfare reform.

Even when Bush pardons Roveie, it will still have dragged his ass thru the court system first, and with Delay and Frist making great Headlines lately -- 2006 doesn't look good for them keeping the house and senate.

"Always tell the truth, it's easier to remember."

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

7. "Always tell the truth, it's easier to remember." that's why they'll fall
Trouble is the truth just doesn't give them a leg to stand on, the Buck stops with Bush and Cheney - not to sound like a cliche' - but it's true, what did they know and when did they know it?

It's why I think Cheney will be indicted as that one Senior-level oficial as a co-conspirator in the Bush Cartel.

5. Comparing testimony is what every good atty does!
That's the easiest way to get at the truth!

That's always a problem when criminals involve anyone but themselves! You can neever be sure of the other guy!

The other thing the Rove's of the world seem to forget is when you write something down and send it to another person, there's another copy out there somewhere! It doesn't matter if it's electronic writing or a piece of paper. That email they keep talking about went to someone else! It's recorded in someone elses incoming email! Even if Rove thought he deleted his own, it's in someones inbox as well as part of the history on the WH system. Gee, wonder if old KKarl failed his computer class????

6. so, do we have any idea when indictments will be handed down?
With all these reappearances before the grand jury, the big moment is being pushed further and further into the future.

Which is fine with me, as the plot is apparently thickening by the minute, but I'm just wondering how far I can get from the computer or TV next week... I won't want to miss a nanosecond of the announcement.
