They've tried to execute Saddam Hussein earlier than expected again, I think this is the second time they've tried that. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2147338&mesg_id=2147338

1. If we leave Iraq with him still alive... |
|
He could possibly come back to power.
I'm sure there are plenty of Iraqis who would prefer the quiet terror of Saddam over the chaos in Iraq these days. Saddam was predictable -- Iraqis knew what would trigger his terror.
Where would that put Bush? Killing so many people and spending our treasury into deep debt -- For what? None of his "Reasons" for his war could stand up, then.
I predict that Saddam will be executed before Bush allows any drawing down of American troops in Iraq.

"a heart attack" or "a stroke" or be "shot trying to escape" or commit "suicide."
No way this man gets a trial. He knows where the bodies are buried, literally; the bodies the he and the Bush/Reagan cabal helped inter.

can you imagine what hell would break loose if Saddam tells ALL? I just don't see the administration allowing that to happen.
