Or at least "a Katherine".
Start interviewing, Al.
On edit: Don't get me wrong. He made AAR. But he needs a sidekick to help him keep rhythm.

3. I found Katerine's personality to be........ |
|
insipid. Her goofy laughs drove me up the wall...I am sorry, but the show is not FUNNY. Al needs more than a Katerine.

7. I agree, she drove me crazy with that Liesl song and her |

schoolmarm personality. He needs a good journalist like her, but somebody more sophisticated or maybe somebody real smart like Rachel Maddow.

13. I thought of Rachel, but she is too strong of a personality. |
|
It's Al's show, but he needs a "straight man" (no pun intended) to keep him rolling along and keeping on topic.
On the other hand, with a little time maybe he'll balance out.
This is only the first day.

She used to do a local show here in Minnesota, and drove me nuts with that phony "nails on a chalkboard" cackling laugh. She's a writer by trade...I am waiting to see what she can do in that milieu...it can't be worse than her presence on the airwaves.

Sorry...don't listen to Al. He's on against Tom Hartmann and I just prefer Hartmann to Franken. So, I'm not up on the latest from Franken.

Al just seems a little unsure today, like he has to get used to doing the show alone. He'll be fine. I liked Katherine, but she sometimes really annoyed me.

18. A partner, yes--a sidekick or a nanny, no |
|

Katherine was political radio's answer to Robin Quivers--her main job duty was to make sure Al never went "too far." She was rarely allowed to do the show without him, which speaks for itself.
Al's parade of Ivy-league think tank types makes me feel like I'm back in a lecture hall, and the possibility of his running for office next year has definitely cramped his style. Randy Rhodes and Mike Malloy have sidekicks. Al needs someone he can have a Morning Sedition-type relationship with.

19. He does need "A" partner...not necessarily Katherine |
|
I liked her, and felt she had a good place in Air America...but I was never convinced she was the best mix with Al. I say give her her own show and give her Sam Cedar as a sidekick...and pair up Al And Geanine together...at least as an experiment :D

|
I think she was a victim of Sadam Hussein, talking about how evil the two sons were (and I do believe this) -- just struck me as strange that this would be the first show without Katherine & it seems to have taken a strange new direction...
