Why is fundraising bad when Democrats do it, but great when Bush does it? |
|
As I read the articles today about Bush's fundraising, the media is all but praising him for his great ability to raise money for himself and Republicans.
On the other hand, when Gray Davis raised money, the media bashed him like it's the most evil thing he could do.
When Arnold raised money, they spun it like it proved how popular he was.
But every article bashed Davis for his fundraising ability.
When a Democrat raises a lot of money, it's bad. When a Republican raises money, it's good.
What is wrong with the media?

1. Assuming FoxNews is right and the media is liberal... |
|
...the only logical conclusion is that they enjoy self-flagellation.

3. A very interesting observation indeed! You are right! I suppose... |
|
it's because Democratic money comes from "dirty" liberals. Yet another example of the Repuglian skill at hypocritical "turn about".

4. I have wondered the same thing |

Although some cities want to start charging them for the extra police protection during their fundraising visits. If someone remembers where that article was from, maybe they could post it.

Why is it OK to bash Clinton but NOT OK to bash bu$h?
How come every time Congress gives bu$h what he wants (which is every time he asks), things get fucked-er up?

They will never accept what the rest of us know. That what they finally got Clinton on, was petty compared to the problems we have to deal with today. They will forever claim that Clinton's character problem was far more dangerous to national security, than a president who surrounds himself by "expert" who leak the name of a CIA operative. To expose Bush, would mean they would have to expose their own error in judgment.

It isn't just fundraising - they do that with everything.
Clinton fools around - evil. Newt, Hyde, Livingston, Arnold, etc. - so what.
Clinton bombs Iraq - wag the dog. Bush does it - liberating the people.
Clinton pardons various citizens - its payback. Bush Sr. pardons criminals from his administration - business as usual.
Jeffords leaves Republican party - traitor. Dixicrats leave the Democratic party - enlightenment.
The list goes on and on.
As to what's wrong with the media, that's a whole other thread. Short answer - RW owned lap dogs on a short leash.

Democrats steal the hard earned money from their poor supporters...
Republicans just take the spare, not needed for anything else 'spare change' of their rich supporters.
See, the GOP is just looking out for the little guy, as they ALWAYS do!
"That public school teacher or freelance writer can't AFFORD to give money to the Dems, and it's just not fair that they ask that of them. OUR supporters just pull spare change out of the seat cushions."
