Wait till Arnie has to sign a death warrant |
|
Sooner or later, one of the inmates on California's death row will have exhaused their appeals. Can you imagine? It's bad enough waiting for your execution, but the final indignity of having Arnold Schwartznegger signing your death warrant? Also, my sister just realized that when my niece graduates college, Herr Groper's signature will be on the diploma. BARF!

A lot of women graduating from U of California will not be happy when they see Groper's signature on it.
Many businesses will ask the women - "Is this a joke or something?"

2. Governors don't sign death warrants |
|
That is the job of trial judges. Governors can only sign pardons and commutation of sentences.
FYI for non-Cali people - All DP convictions are automatically appealed to the state Supreme Court. Presently there are something like 700 prisoners on Death Row. Since the DP was reinstated in the late 1970s only about a dozen actual executions have occurred. A prisoner on death row is more likely to die from natural causes than to be executed.
For the record I strongly oppose the DP.
