Wondered if anyone would be interested in reviving old DU "Meeting Room" |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-12-05 07:00 PM by KoKo01
It kind of got to be more Astrology/Spiritual than a "Meeting Room Forum" but wondered if there might be a place for it?
What would it be?
I'm only throwing this out...don't know what Mods or Skinner would think of this since they are "revamping" the site. But...just throwing it out for discussion and Mods can delete if they feel it doesn't go along with DU Rules.
What would a "Meeting Room Forum" do as an "addition" to the already lively discussions we have here. What could it be that "DU General Discussion Forum" doesn't already provide a place for?

1. I loved the Meetingroom |
|
when it first started > It was kinda like a Lounge for nerds LOL
then it went down hill with all of the woo woo stuff

2. I would - I think it was a little kinder and gentler than GD and |
|
a little more serious than the lounge. I enjoyed the discussions of social issues from a more holistic aspect as to just a purely political aspect.

3. Agree...it was "kinder and gentler." Maybe "Holistic" might have a place |
|
once again given all the angst out there today.
But, I don't know...just waiting to see if anyone else thinks it might work again.

4. There was a lot less anger and posturing and more people trying |
|
to understand one another and civilly debate their postions instead of just all this nasty pouncing on each other (which can be fun sometimes, don't get me wrong.) :)
I just felt like I was among more tolerant, open-minded people in the Meeting Room compared to the rest of this board.
