Poll question: How nuts will you go if there are insufficient indictments?
I have a lot of faith in Fitzgerald, but just so we know what to expect if the unexpected happens.

1. It will be what it will be.
Whatever the outcome, it will be whatever the investigation found. Nothing more. Nothing less.

2. Went With More Sane.
The more I see the less deluded I am that America actually gives a shit if it's politicians are corrupt lying scum. So, with yet another deluded vision of Bush downfall cleared up, I'd be that much more in touch with reality. Sure hope I am not deluded THIS TIME though!

3. I will be out in my neighborhood street banging pots and pans
like it was the first day of a new year, yelling "Ding Dong The wicked witch is dead!" Oh, I may have to save that line for impeachment day, but I'll go with the pots and pans at least....

5. I'm sorry to be such a pessimist...
...but I believe this is our last hope.

If they can escape all of this--then they are completely untouchable.

That's one reason I don't like this wait period. With these evil snakes, time is an opportunity for them to blackmail, figure out how to get out of this, plot, plan "suicides" and engage a host of other shenanigans.

Another note--I'm having a hard time believing that justice will really prevail. How many times have I thought...ok, this is it. They're done now. They always manage to wiggle their way out of the most heinous, blatant messes.

Sorry to be such a gloomy gus. I guess I'm a bit traumatized by this entire administration. I want their crimes outed so badly, that it hurts.

6. I agree with you. Just like they buy time
in the Senate and House to arm-twist and bribe. I don't like it. Everyone is so sure that Fitz is above board, but I'm not 100% sure, and I'm certainly not 100% sure that the GJ or the Judges are or couldn't be bought off or threatened with their lives. After all, it's the equivalent of a large American Mafia that we're dealing with here.

11. Unfortunately, this is the most likely scenario.
And, on the off-chance that any indictments actually come down, there will be no convictions.

I base my pessimistic prediction on past history. Exactly how much success has there been in holding * and the pukes accountable for their many crimes? Has Ken Lay even seen the inside of a courthouse? Etc. Etc. Etc..........

I have absolutely no faith that anything will be done.

To continue to expect to be able to change the disastrous course that this country has been on for the past (pick-a-number) years by only relying on methods that are thoroughly controlled by the other side is sheer stupidity. Until we begin to really fight back, we will continue to lose. Period.

8. I will not go crazy, because
the first round of indictments is not the "end all" of the legal consequences of the scandal. If we use Watergate as the model, those who would be upset by the first round of indictments not toppling the White House would seem rather silly, wouldn't they? Until people have time to really think about going to jail for an extended period, they may not talk. But when it becomes clear that they are going to be incarcerated, and their attorney says, "You're only good option is to cooperate fully with the prosecutor by agreeing to testify against _______," people change.

9. What would be sufficient? We will never be satisfied.
Until the 2008 election when President Any-Democrat takes over the People's house.

I'm waiting to see where President Any-Democrat stands on the war in Iraq before I get all excited about him.

I'm betting there will be no indictments. Or at most a few low level patsies.

There will be no Rove perp-walk. The fix is in.
