London - Britain's foreign secretary will accompany U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on a tour of civil rights sites in Alabama next weekend...

Rice spoke to reporters as she flew from Moscow to London for a dinner meeting with her British counterpart, Jack Straw.

Straw "has an interest in the civil rights period and in minority rights," said Rice, the first black woman to be the top U.S. diplomat. Straw's Northern England legislative district of Blackburn is more than 25 percent Muslim.

Straw and Rice plan to tour the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala., with surviving relatives of four black girls who died there in a Ku Klux Klan bombing in 1963. Rice grew up in Birmingham and knew one of the victims."

3. Notice Rice's phrasing....

"civil rights period" - as though there was a specific time in history in which people fought for "civil rights," but now that time is over and all is well. A "civil rights tour" is something only a repuke could dream up - and repukes fought like hell - and continue to fight like hell - against civil rights legislation.

Could this woman be more out of touch and insensitive?

my dear friend, Claudette, would call self-seeking blacks oreo cookies because they were black on the outside and white on the inside. . .imagery from those days when some black people went through the motions of supporting civil rights but were still operating under a subservient mindset to advance themselves in white America, not the movement.

Condi is a supreme oreo cookie. . .and Bush and Co. has her on a string to bring up the recent 2% black approval rating.
