Could it be the corporate... |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-17-05 04:43 PM by Mr_Jefferson_24
...keepers of MSM have come to the conclusion that it is no longer in their best interests to continue to shill for this illegitimate cabal of criminals we call BushCo? I just finished watching MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews having a chat with Senator Biden. Matthews sounds like he believes Libby and Rove belong behind bars.
Could it possibly be a good time for us to attempt to bolster, at least some elements of MSM, with emails of support where they seem to be doing their job? Or are their motivations purely self-serving and undeserving of encouragement? I'm not sure. Just thought I'd ask. Any thoughts?

1. Well, their ratings (and readers) have been in the toilet. And now... |
|
They are probably seeing their revenues rising.
I'm sure this has nothing to do with integrity, just the bottom line.

2. I do think they are wising up to the fact that they could be in |
|
trouble. They are just getting that they should have been talking about this for quite some time. It's try to CYA time. As for the emails I am not sure.

3. I remember watching Tweety interview Rove @ the RNC |
|
He all but got down and gave him a hummer then and there. Tweety does as his pay masters bid him to do.
I think the end is coming fast for * & company.
? How else did the rehearsal for *'s meet n greet w/ the troops get out? That had to have been an inside job.

These cats aren't gonna change their stripes. I, for one, will never trust these guys and gals again. I hope that Russert and the others find big angry chickens roosting on their door someday soon.

14. Perhaps some corporate MSM bosses are in on the whole deal |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-17-05 05:02 PM by McKenzie
I accept that might sound nutz. However, the links that are now starting to be uncovered suggest something much bigger than just a few conspirators were behind this scam.
Something really fishy is in the air. Consider the willingness of the MSM to release stories about bogus terra threats, and to promote the stories heavily, for a start.
I suppose it's possible those elements of the MSM that pushed the bogus terra stories did so for reasons of trying to do what they considered was right; getting early warnings out. It's equally possible they did so for reasons of upping the ratings. But the enormity of this whole sorry affair makes it reasonable to infer that the most senior people in the MSM were more than just dupes. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
Given the importance of the media, however, it is important to bolster those bits of it that still have integrity. Which bits those might be I am unable to say.

...some confidence in my ability to quickly make pretty reliable judgments in separating bogus conspiracy from credible stories. These days I feel no such sense of confidence, I just try to reserve judgment and wait for some credible evidence, which sometimes is a long time coming, and other times never comes. There just isn't anything I'd put past this regime---I don't dismiss anything out-of-hand anymore.

15. Tweety belongs behind bars, IMHO! Wasn't he also questioned by |
|
Fitz and the GJ? What other 'reporters' were questioned by Fitz? I've read that Mary Matalin, Andrea Mitchell, Tweety, Russert, and who else?...all have been questioned. Strange bedfellows. All B* supporters until now. They are just as guilty. Reporting news should be synonymous with reporting the truth. Few, if any, fit into that category since the SCOTUS selected this evil, criminal cadre in 2000.

...who all Fitz questioned. I've wondered about Novakula. Seems to me he's been largely ignored considering his role in the actual publicizing of Plame's identity and CIA status.

19. Indeed, the M$M has been strangely quiet on Novak, the one who |
|
originated all of this! He was questioned, if I recall correctly, and some have posted that he must have 'struck' a deal. Remember his cursing on CNN? The person who he cursed at was Carlin, right? Matalin's husband. I've always believed that that was intentional, or he just truly really lost it.

20. It was Matalin's husband... |
|
...James Carville. That was one of the more entertaining CNN segments I've ever seen. It looked to me like Novakula might have been under the influence---he spoke aloud what seemed to be self council "Let it go," just before he lost all control, got up, and proceeded to stumble off the set. If it was staged, it was a convincing. I'm not sure what the upside could've been for Novakula in staging something like that, but who knows.

you're right though, r.e. motives. What would he have benefitted? Maybe he knows how much Carville's wife is involved, and took it out on poor hubby?

Just like with katrina.
They want ZERO government. Because THEY want to be the government.
Why pay politicians all that money when they can do it themselves and save that money for the CEO's wallet?
