2. Haha, dangerous to who? |
|
He's a conservative. Though you'll find many on this board that consider conservatives dangerous, is there anything in particular that makes you think Keyes is more dangrous than any other conservative?

11. Keyes has no real base ... |
|
Among the republicans.
As I can tell, hes a real conservitive, a classic con, not a neo con.
That being said, Keyes is a republican who has no base of support because:
He is Black. He is Catholic. He is married to a white woman.
None of these endear him to any faction of the republican party. He is well spoken and although I may not agree with him, he makes his position on an issue very clear... Unlike most politicans.
As he said at a Republican debate before the last election, "there is only ONE conservitive here, me."

13. I think he lists his occupation as "candidate" |
|
He ran for the Senate in Maryland several years back, against Sarbanes, IIRC.
He paid himself a salary from his campaign. The FEC ruled that it was ethically questionable but totally legal.

14. He ran against Mikulski many years ago |
|
I watched their debate on C-Span. He was quite the debator. He was Prsident of some anti-tax group back then - maybe 15 years ago. Had an incredible knowledge of then current economic statistics. I hope they were right. Otherwise, he was sure making them up fast. Quick mind either way.
He's another one of those candidates who should win some race once in his life for some office before he decides to run for president.

Alan Keyes is sitting in the back of the Republican bus.
He's sort of like Buchanan - repugnant, but honest. I notice that Keyes, Larry Elder, Michelle Malkin, and especially Condi and Colin are trotted out to promote the lie that diversity is evil, but that the Republicans are diverse. (the conclusion that Republicans are evil is still correct, however ;)).

16. I kind of miss his ridiculous MSNBC show |
|
it allowed me to perfect a bad impersonation of his voice - which in case you haven't heard it, resembles a slightly constipated Kermit the Frog.
