Tucker Carlson - "Blame the Democrats for not questioning the
reasons why we went to war" "Bush is responsible and the Democrats who didn't question him are responsible."

So the Republicans are not responsible because they don't question there own people.

I swear he just said this on Hardball.

3. But what was his
part in poo-pooing any Democrat who DID question the war on his show, like "Crossfire?"

At the time, folks who questioned Nero and his march to war were branded as traitors and appeasers.

repeat what the Whitehouse said w/o question. Instead it was up to the opposition politicians to do the research/investigation. Why should the press have to do that?.

That was Tucker's position.

16. what he was really saying was the Media isn't responsible for the lies
that they printed because the Dems should have said they were lies.

Then the woman said that the Dems were reading what was in the media to get their info.

Then he said, what are they doing reading the newspaper instead of finding out from higher up.

My response:

1. Congress had their security cleances revoked shortly after 9/11.

2. They were only shown what the admin wanted to show them.

18. I sort of agree with Tucker on that one.
I don't mean the Pubs aren't responsible! They are of course! They're the ones who were the majority and would have won the vote with or without the Dems. BUT, I do think there was a lot of "playing chicken" when this was being discussed in Congress.

I think it was bacause the Dems are always portrayed as being way to dovish, and it scared them! Too damn bad too. They all castigated Howard Dean when he was one of a very few who spoke loudly agains the war, but NOW, who looks like the thoughtful one?

Pro-war talking points "Are now inoperative".

OK, remove all the Republicans that were pro-war and all the Democrats who were pro-war and put who's left in charge.

23. 23 Senators and more than 130 Democratic members of the House
voted against the Joint Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq.

How much air time did the media give them? How much print did they get in the press?

Convenient for the lazy ass Bush cheerleading media to blame the Dems.

24. Personally
aren't all the media hacks like Tucker Carlson responsible too. Afterall they trumped up the war, played down the countless war protests, bought every lie told to them, and now it's clear went out of their way to attack using classified information any person that tried to get the truth out. Had the media correctly portrayed the Americans opinion of pre-war, the shakiness of the pre-war data, the shakiness of the pre-war reconstruction plan may be just may be congress would of had more ability to question the president.

For the record congress use of force threat worked. It got the weapon inspectors back in Iraq. I was the president that went to war even after it was clear he didn't have to. It's the president to blame and no one else. Personally I think the Republicans and Democrats in congress don't have any blame. Their actions got the results they wanted.

And then impeach Bush. No need to play the blame game. We fucked up so let's correct the mistake. Are you with us or against us Tucker? Or do you just want to continue swallowing your tongue and listen to yourself gurgle.

Miserable sellout bastard.
