If this administration get its comeuppance, will you be glad Kerry lost?
After having our hopes up so many other times, the Plame affair may be the one event to hold this administration accountable for its many crimes. Perhaps it will lead to more revelations, and maybe just maybe, it could lead to a Bush impeachment.

How would we feel if this were to happen? For me, it would be an incredible relief after carrying all this anger around for so long. I would do a dance, and throw a party to celebrate the end of the Bush evil empire. If I'm honest, his disgrace would probably mean more to me than a Kerry victory.

I can justify this by saying that his ouster would likely lead to a Democratic senate and Presidency, but it still reveals a dark side of myself. I hate feeling this angry toward anyone.

the humiliation of Bush had he lost to Kerry would have been far sweeter... and we wouldn't have had to pay with all this madness.

12. IMO, it'd be much more likely the malignant tumor would have kept growing
if Kerry were in office.

It's now so prominent only an idiot couldn't see how septic theh Bush cabal is.

3. It would have been better if Kerry won in the long run...
For starters, it would have been seen by the rest of the world as an open rebuke of Nero's decision to invade Iraq. The process of healing our relations with the rest of the world would have begun already.

They only real drawback I know of offhand is that Nero would have been dealing out pardons like a Las Vegas dealer on crack at 3 in the morning.

A lot of people would have survived this year and not died horrible unnecessary deaths if Kerry had won the election. With a Kerry win, Bush's misdeeds would have come to light with the changing of the guard.

5. I wish Kerry had won. The Republicans have done so much
harm, so much wrong, since the election. The Plame facts would have come out in any event. It would be easier to prosecute if Kerry were president.

mention all the other horrors that would have been avoided since November 2004.

8. I will never be glad that Kerry lost, I mourn for New Orleans
Kerry would have made sure that the remaining 20 million was used
to finish the levee project in New Orleans, I do not believe that
he would have an aide that would have went out to dinner, when
he was e-mailed by a coworker that people were dying from lack of
food and water and then rehired that individual as a "consultant."

9. Yes...
I would have hated for Kerry to inherit this absolute mess, then get blamed when everything didn't turn around completely in 4 years. I'm getting a great deal of pleasure watching this administration crumble, even though the sonsequences are going to affect all of us.

10. So the Civil War was a good thing...
because eventually the Union forces got to kick Rebel butt.

Nope, it would have been better if Bush had lost. We *still* don't know that the damage he's done can be repairable, even if his administration goes down in flames this year.

Edited on Fri Oct-21-05 06:39 PM by Eric J in MN
for decades, destroying our liberties.

The Supreme Court will rule on the Jose Padilla case within a year or two.

Bush is claiming in that case he can have any one of us imprisoned without trial by labelling us "enemy combatants."

If Bush wins that case-as he probably will with his cronies on the bench-it will give him the powers of a dictator.

17. No, if we fail to put the counrty first we are no better than the Repugs
This is about lifting everyone up. The best thing would have been getting these idiot power-mongers out of office. We tried, but they lied harder and the undereducated electorate ate it up. Despite our shared glee at the impending justice we foresee, we need to keep in mind that the tragedy remains. The damage was done and we are a generation from cleaning it up.

But assuming for the sake of argument he did , no this won't make me happy he isn't President now. In fact, all of this could be happening if he were in the White House.

22. never! I'll never be glad that Kerry lost
even if Bush is impeached, Cheney resigns, etc. The best of the best scenario at this point is still much worse than having a Kerry / Edwards administration trying to recover from 4 years of destruction. The destruction that this admin is doing on a continued basis ... irresponsible tax cuts for the wealthiest, destruction of the environment, bankruptcy bills, Supreme Court appointments, neglect of people in need, etc. This administration is appalling. I'm ashamed of it and i wish it was over. It is an embarrassment and the only remedy would have been a Kerry - Edwards landslide victory. The fact that he is still in office is an embarrassment to the American People. The only remedy would have been to vote him out. Now, we may see justice done, but can we really take pride in it?

...I would say no. Even with his faults, I don't think Kerry would have ruined the country like Bush has. I don't think he would have destroyed our image around the world. So my answer is no.

26. The way I looked at the 2004 election
is that, despite the fact that the results were questionable, they might have been necessary in the higher order of things in order to bring this current overwhelmingly corrupt administration to justice. Think about it. If Kerry had been elected, he would have not only inherited the mess in Iraq, but all economic woes would have been pinned on him. And, all things * would have been safely out from under the radar.

I can't say that I agree with you, though. A Kerry administration would have been much better for America's interests, which is my primary concern.
However, the true nature of Bushco manifesting for all to see is pure joy!

whole repuke agenda could be crushed for decades. Of course the dems have to play it right. On the other hand we got Roberts, maybe Miers too and they will be there for a long time. Soldiers are dying every day, families are without hope of healthcare or good jobs so that was not worth it.

33. Dubya has disgraced my country.
I would never forgive him that transgression.

I voted for Kerry-Edwards and would do it again, whether or not Dubya is "a treacherous little freak," in Hunter Thompson's memorable phrase.

I'd want to see our constitutional democracy go up more than see Dubya go down.

But that doesn't mean I won't continue to hammer the current administration as hard as I humanly can between now and impeachment time.
