"The media is not reporting on the good things happening in Iraq"????? |
|
I read this last Sunday in my local conservative rag by someone named John Leo. As usual the Repubes sent out the advance team of pundits to lead the charge or at least test the waters. Rove's focus groups must have liked it because even W said basically that during the week.
Sorry I am at home and posting a link is an exercise in random luck with AOL and frankly isn't worth it.
But I have yet to see all the good things that are happening in Iraq even on Fox. I believe they have even griped about the lack of positive media coverage............THEY ARE THE MEDIA!!!!!!!
Add in: The New York Post The Wall Street Journal editorial pages Newsmax UPI NBC is in the right hip pocket The Washington Times as well as a 2 to 1 ratio of publishers and editors of actual major publications.
We are going to hear this over and over and over as with the rest of their spin but how can this be?
Are they going to use the media to complain about the lack of positive media coverage?
I'm sure some good things are happening there and businesses are opening back up(though closing at night fall to avoid the packs of thieves and bandits that are out and about) and that of course is good.
I am not expecting the whore organizations to critique themselves.

1. They're not reporting on the "bad things" that are happening either.... |
|
Otherwise, they would be telling us about the riots, about Halliburton, about PNAC, about Cheney, about how 9/11 has not proven to be connected to Iraq, etc,etc...

2. "860 injured since Bush declared..................." |
|
I heard that this morning. Yes they have found yet another way to anesthetize this.
"Injured" comes in degrees and they aren't even reporting a lot of these.
:eyes:
Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?
