Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 01:00 AM by calipendence
Knowing that the law he helped put in place might well be used to hang his son out to dry now as this Plame Gate proceeds and continues, do you think if he could have had foresight then what was happening now, that he'd have put that law on the books? Would he value protecting his son or intelligence agents more?

1. Does the law cover Plame?
I keep reading that she doesn't qualify under the outing law. Is it true?

"Unless she was really stationed abroad sometime after their marriage," she wasn't a covert agent protected by the law, says Bruce Sanford, an attorney who helped write the 1982 act that protects covert agents' identities.

2. Don't believe that hogwash
Turn your TV off and don't listen to the right wing pundits. Plame was an agent and when they outed her they outed everyone who has worked with her as well.

4. He's probably wishing they had gone ahead and put Jebbie out there
Jebbie lost the governor's election in 94, or HE would have been the candidate to run against Clinton.. Since he lost, Bob Dole was the throwaway candidate so that Georgie would be ready in 2k..

6. Poppy was 100% CIA
For all his faults, he loved and took care of his people. His son is deluded if he thinks he can screw with the CIA.
