FauxNews : Fitz told Rove's lawyer that he would be indicted this week. |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 12:02 PM by jefferson_dem
Luskin offered "something new" to investigators which led Fitz to hold off on charges while he looks further into matters. At this point, we do not know what "matters" means.
Developin'...(LOL)

One has to assume that Faux wouldn't report this if it weren't true because they'd rather spin it the other way.
AAR is just reporting that the one indictment of Libby is for several charges, including making false statements, perjury, and obstruction of justice.

8. At least it says that Fitz has a case against him |
|
I was afraid that they were letting Rove off the hook. Whatever allowed Fitzgerald to postpone the indictment better lead to bigger fish (ie. Cheney.)

12. If Fitz had no case against him, he wouldn't be asking for plea deals. |
|
Wait for it......
There's plenty of guilt to haul Rove in. The thing is, the white house wants him to stay out of the fight and fall on his sword, so less dirty laundry gets aired. So, they need time for all the slugs to climb out from under their respective rocks to see who will offer what.
Let the bidding begin. Until Fitz is satisfied that he's gotten the best deal, he'll hold off. That man is in no hurry: This is the good part where the gold is mined: Shock, Denial, Anger, Bargaining. Now that we're past the first 3 steps, the real culprits can be brought to slaughter.
I think Rove is deciding how to write the history books on Dumbya, and it has to do with how much time he'll get. How much time for how much truth.
This is all good.

11. I knew they had to give up something......... |
|
...they had to give Fitz something more than 'I forgot'.
I bet we will hear more about what Rove gave to them in the coming weeks.....I'm sure it will lead to something.
