it is a privately owned board that's under no obligation to post anything that they don't want to. Just like DU. We have deleted messages here all the time. I am not 'sticking up' for the idiots at Freeperville, by any means. But my abhorrence of hypocrisy trumps all other concerns.

The freeps do have a compulsive need to have all available facts conform to their narrow worldview. If they do not, then the facts are best spun into something unrecognizable as 'truth', or if that fails, simply ignored or otherwise done away with...

The freeps have GOT to freaking out about the Rush situation. This is probably akin to what we would feel if we were to suddenly find out that Dean, Wellstone, and Barbara Lee all voted Bush/Cheney in 2000. I kinda feel sorry for them. They are really quite simple folk, and finding out something like this has got to turn them into little mini-"Nomad's" from the old Star Trek episode "The Changeling"... Stuck in infinite 'logic-loops', many of them are no doubt self-destructing as we speak...
