McCollum lying through his teeth |

Saying on MSNBC (in defense of Rush) that drug laws are designed to imprison people who deal and sell drugs. That's a bold face lie. Ask the thousands of 'users' only who are in jail now. Clinton pardoned a woman whose only crime was being present when her boyfriend was busted for possession.

1. Now they are trying to make 'possession' no crime when, in fact, it is |

in almost every state. Just because it might send Rush to jail, the Republicans are now trying spin the laws they put on the books...but we all know that they were intended to inprison poor minorities and nobody else! They have no shame and the media and our dear Democratic leaders keep letting them get away with it. First Rush is excused because he was taking "prescription drugs" (without a prescription). Then, the excuse is that he is human (could have fooled me). Now it's the laws on the books were DESIGNED for "dealers" not users...(another big lie). Thousands of people are in jail right now (mostly black, mostly poor) for possession alone.

Trust me it is the only thing he is actually good at. The parrots the neo-con company line, shills for bankers and credit card companies, and managed the impeachment of Clinton.
The man was a term-limits Reagan revolutionary, who like the energizer bunny, kept on running. He lost a bid for Nelson's senate seat and will lose to Bob Graham (if he runs) in 2004.
All I can say is run Bob run!

3. If you have quantities, it is called "possession with intent to distribute |
|
There is no need to catch someone selling. It's presumptive.
Funny how the rules change when one of their own little nazi's get's his dick caught in the criminal "justice" ringer.

4000+ pills is intent..here in il. if you have three joints in three bags you can be charged with sales or intent to deliver. if those pills were weighed out into equal weight in heroin ,that`s intent sales-federal charge if those e`mails were from florida to new york.also obstrution of justice-tampering if he tried to give money to his maid..remember all this happened weeks before anyone knew what was going down and what the cops had...i`m sure they tipped off rush about what they knew and when they knew it...if anyone gets anything out of this good luck....

Alternet has a great article saying just that, talking about the selective compassion of the Wall Street Journal and the repuke wingnuts when it's one of THEIRS that gets caught at something that those hypocritical freaks love to preach against and advocate toughness in handling it. I simply cannot believe that they can't see the thick-as-a-mountain-of-molasses hypocrisy in that! They really show their true colors, also, since, when it's rich whites who get caught, they're all tears and sympathy, but when it's the poor and minorities, throw their asses in jail forever and toss the key!

Jail the dealers, not the users. Someone save these tapes...we'll use them in the future.
Of course when they find out that Rush was dealing also... don't know what they'll defend him with.

blaming Klintoon, saying some bullshit about how Clinton's "scandals" (whipped up by the RW wingnuts, but never mind) were just too much for him and he couldn't take it, so he had to drug himself to be able to deal with it on the radio every day. Do I know our wingnut friends or what, lol!

Our prisons have many people who were possesion only. Women, the fastest rising segment of the prison population, often are there not even for possesion but taking a phone call or driving a boyfriend/husband to the airport. They serve as much time as the dealing boyfriend. They serve time for every gram he sold as if they sold it themselves. Has anyone even mentioned Rush's wife? Not that I want to see her in trouble but what's good for the average Joe or Jane should be good enough for Rush and his family too.
