Bush's vacation is a good window of opportunity... |
|
...for Dems to up their criticism over his lying and handling of the Iraq situation, as well as any of his other policy goofs. He's gonna look very bad in the public eye if he's lapping it up while soldiers keep dying every day.
It also should be a time-frame in which candidates who are not necessarily well known to the public (i.e. Dean) can emerge into the public eye and gain recognition.
Just some thoughts.

1. He certainly needs a break. |

Three rounds of golf a week just isn't enough to get that handicap down.

Bush* holds the Guiness Book of World Records title for "The Most Thoroughly and Imprudently Vacationed President of All Time." (see Warnings on terrorist bombings of US, and Bush at the Pig Farm all of August, 2001 -- golfing and snoozing, ignoring the warnings, while the final preparations for 9/11 were unfolding).
If Bush* falters this August and fails to slack off at the Pig Farm in Crawford as he usually does, he may be vulnerable to a challenge from some Young Slacker in a nation that is "Not with us, but agin us." Eeeek. The very thought.
But, remember, he is our very own AWOL and unelected Chimp-in-Chief* So don't lose faith in him yet. After all, just last week he taunted all comers with "Bring 'em on." What the press failed to realize is that he was not challenging terrorists, but actually challenging other Great World Slackers to attempt to outdo his Vacation Record.
I have confidence that the pResident* will remain true to form.
