About Clark being the only one that could talk foreign policy, that is arguable. Clark is the only one running that has already had Commander in Cheif in his name. Clark is the only one to negotioate with other nations on high levels. And Clark is the only one that has been allowed to talk to foreign leaders anytime anyplace.
The Clark-Bush comment is idiotic.

...Clark is the only one that has been allowed to talk to foreign leaders anytime anyplace.
I support Clark's candidacy (among others) but it seems like that might be easily disproven.

I thought your statement implied that none of the other candidates had ever talked to foreign leaders. My bad. Darn Jedi mind trick! ;)

I watched MTP and I heard that as a 4 star general he would have the most credibility on the Iraq business amongst any of the candidates viv a vis the commander in chief. She then decried all candidates as having no strong domestic policy I didn't think that absurd

What she meant to say was: "no republican candidates have any strong domestic policy."

7. Equating Bush with Clark is the BS part of the equation. Bush = military.. |
|
...man is a joke.
But that's political karate -- trying to make your enemy's strength his weakness.
They tried to discredit Clark's military record all week. Now the BBC journalist has a new tack -- elevate Bush to Clark's level.

15. Discrediting Clark's Work On Kosovo |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-19-03 02:02 PM by cryingshame
Of course, they've been going on how Kosovo was just a humanitarian mission...
Ironically, that's what they've been reduced to calling the Iraq Invasion... since Saddam didn't have WMD- they now say he had to go becasue he was a menace to his people.
SORT OF LIKE MILOSEVIC???
Oppps, maybe not... cause Clinton & Clark managed to get things done with International support and without the quagmire that is now Iraq.
heh!

10. The Media is just reinforcing what we already know.... |
|
That Rove really, really, really, really does not want to have Bush go up against Clark.
Robin Wright was the only one who had it right.
The PR campaign and marching orders for the Corporate Press via Rove's propaganda machine is either ignore, discount, deride and attack Clark.
This is so painfully obvious, until its almost comical.
Trotting out the "Drudge leaked, Faux promoted" video tape and calling "NEWS" is a real give away. Oops, they forgot to trot out the video tapes of the 100 members of the Senate and the 400+ members of the house that made similar statements.
Obviously, the media lives in a bubble and think that they really are the opinion makers......they don't understand that their overreaching will backfire.

She pissed me off every time she opened her mouth. Every week MTP reserves a nice chunk of the program to pick apart the Democrats. When I saw she was from the BBC I thought there might be some objectivity, but Hell No!! She parroted the same tired old crap that goes for discussion in these "political programs." Actually, I've noticed Broder seems fairer than usual in the last few weeks - he seems bummed out and disturbed which is a far cry from the old days when he was the Chimp-lovin' "Dean." I wonder if he is having a crisis of patriotism as he sees the writing on the wall.
I don't remember these round-table discussions back in '96 when Bill Clinton was being challenged, where a panel picked apart all the weaknesses of the repugs and listed all the reasons why they sucked. Am I off base on this? Was there a time when Tim hosted liberals to analyse the GOP field of candidates?
