Our Nation's Priorities Are Outta Whack!!! |
|
Does anyone other than me think it is strage that we, as a country, will offer $15 million for information leading to the capture and killing of Saddam's sons...but we won't even offer 15 BUCKS for information leading to the identity of the leaker of Valerie Plame's cover? I guess it makes clear where OUR nation's priorities are!!
Anyone But Bush in 2004!!

1. Our priorities have been out of whack for a long time |
|
Anytime you say that tax cuts for the richest 1% of the population is going to help the economy, you're sick. Anytime you think it's a good idea to shred the social safety net by amassing huge deficits, it's morally repugnant.

2. So how long have you hated America? ;-) |
|
But you raise an interesting possibility. Since the DOJ will not assist in posting a reward for information leading to the identity of the leaker of Valerie Plame's cover, perhaps an organization like MoveOn, or even DU, can host a fundraiser? It would be easy enough to, as you say, offer $15, but I think we can do better than that.

I'd be willing to throw 15 bucks into the pot, if I could be sure to embarrass the entire Dubya Administration...it'd be the best 15 bucks I ever spent!!
How many other DU'ers are willing to get behind this one?

4. Sign me up, next paycheck is Friday |

$15 dollars is small change even on my budget to embarrass the BFEE bastards.

5. You might be on to something |
|
But it would have to extend far beyond DU and MoveOn to gain any speed.
Hell let's go for the gold and expose ALL of the BFEE crimes. If we're going to get into our wallets, let's get some bang for our buck.
Put me down for $15.00 to start.

7. What's just as shameful |
|
is the ridiculous coverage of the Koby Bryant and Laci Peterson cases we see EVERY damn day. Do I care about those stories when we have matters like the Plame investigation being ignored? NO! It's beyond ridiculous and a sad day when our modern day media is more concerned about their ratings than the national security of our country. It makes me sick. :puke:

How can we do it without government propaganda, like in the USSR? :kick:

But what, exactly, do you think that CNN and FOX are, if not government propaganda? That's precisely what they are, and this is incontrovertible.

Bump So Far we're up to 60 bucks...4 people willing to go 15 bucks.
Sincerely, this could be an interesting grass-roots effort! The important thing is...if we can't count on our government to dig in and investigate properly...we need to find someone credible who WILL!!!
For God's Sake, we gotta keep these scandals and lies, and traitorous acivites top-of-mind and front and center...so we can bring down the Bush house of cards!!
Any more takers out there??
Sincerely, someone needs to turn Move On or PFAW to this idea...
I don't even know what it was, I was looking at an email...and the thought struck me how much we paid for info about Saddam's sons...and how little the Administration seemed to be interested in finding a traitorous leaker...probably because it would prove highly embarrassing to the Administration... Look, children...the Emperor has no clothes!!

11. I think we will get the information for free if we are patient |
|
It is commone knowledge in the CIA and White House and most of Washington who the leakers were. The CIA and Wilson are allowing this story to drip slowly, build in the conciousness of the public, and then add another layer. I think the forces behind this know exactly what they're doing.
Be patient - this will take several months to a year to unfold completely.

12. Patience Is A Virtue Found Seldom In Women |
|
And not found in THIS woman!! However, if they plan it in such a way to spring it all close to election time, and screw GW big-time, I guess it might be worth it. Nevertheless, we need to keep this issue in the top of America's mind...and front-page...and let the scandal bubble and boil...and meanwhile find other lies and scandals to cook Bush with!
