White House tries to hide all files on its web page with "iraq" in them
Sometime between April 2003 and October 2003, someone at the White House added virtually all of the directories with "Iraq" in them to its robots.txt file, meaning that search engines would no longer list those pages in results or archive them.

by the mainstream...never let the mainstream put any cash into investigations...let the net do their investigations...and then they get the cash for their 'hard hitting' pieces!!! :grr:

22. Orwell didn't have the technology
Winston Castro's job was to edit books, then dump the originals in the incinerator. If 1984 was written in 2003, all paper books would have been banned years ago. Everyone would have a little device that would link to a server holding all the books someone wanted to read. (You can call it an e-book, a PDA, or a laptop.) All books would be PDF files. Winston Castro would only need to edit one PDF, then transmit the new book to the server.

No teacher in America would ever have to figure out how to teach Huckleberry Finn again--all the "N words" would have been removed, making the tome safe for innocent eyes. All the references to drugs, alcohol, crimes, anti-government and anti-police activity would be removed from "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas." (Which would make the book a four-page treatise on a motorcycle race.) The pedophilia stuff would have come out of Lolita. You get the idea.

10. Isn't the term "revisionist historians" one that bush and company used
prior to the invasion of Iraq, when they were trying to make their case for war. Well, now it seems that they are truly the ones that are trying to rewrite history.

If this is true, and it seems like it is, this story should be emailed to all the media outlets. As as recall there is a web site that has a list of all the email addresses of the media. If my local paper doesn't print it within the next day or two, I certainly plan on sending it to them.

14. Rule of thumb about Bush admin pronouncements
Whatever they accuse others of, is what they are doing themselves.

It's a pathological thing with them. Policy by projection.

20. This all-important page is still there
Disarm Saddam Hussein

http://www.whitehouse.gov/response/disarm.html

The gravest danger we face in the war on terror is outlaw regimes that seek and possess nuclear, chemical and biological weapons.

Twelve years ago, Saddam Hussein agreed to disarm all weapons of mass destruction. For 12 years, he systematically violated that agreement.
Three months ago, the United Nations Security Council gave Saddam his final chance to disarm. He has shown his utter contempt for the U.N.
The U.N. and U.S. intelligence sources have known for some time that Saddam Hussein has materials to produce chemical and biological weapons, but he has not accounted for them:

26,000 liters of anthrax—enough to kill several million people

38,000 liters of botulinum toxin

500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agents

Almost 30,000 munitions capable of delivering chemical agents

From three Iraqi defectors, we know that Iraq in the late 1990s had several mobile biological weapons labs. But he has not disclosed them.

The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed in the 1990s that Saddam Hussein had an advanced nuclear weapons development program, a design for a nuclear weapon, and was working on methods of enriching uranium for a nuclear bomb. He recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa, according to the British Government. He has attempted to purchase high strength aluminum tubes suitable for nuclear weapons, according to our intelligence sources. Yet he has not credibly explained these activities.

...etc...

Can you find all the bullshit on this one page? It is 7:30 p.m. ET on Monday, October 27 2003, and the Niger uranium claims are still on the White House website. Go figure.

It's not "finding the bullshit" on that page that's going to be hard.

It's finding anything on that page that isn't bullshit.
