Pessimism/Optimism Seesaw |
|
One day I’m sure the Bush-Blair deceptions will be fully exposed, the next day I’m convinced the state-corporate-media power structure will ensure these lying criminals get away with this fraud. Hell, my attitude often changes by the hour--or even the minute. Today, I feel optimistic once again that this criminal house of cards will fall. Maybe it’s the mysterious death of Dr. Kelly that sways me today (is this straight out of a spy novel, or what?).
We could be on the eve of the mother of all political meltdowns.
Bring it on!

1. I'm on that seesaw too |

I'm reading Frank Emery's watergate book right now. It gives current events an interesting perspective. I really wonder about all the stuff going on that we haven't heard about...Yet.
I think this is much worse than watergate. The people leading our country into an abyss right now deserve serious prison sentences.

I alternate back and forth as well. And I keep reminding myself that the Niger controversy is just one of many problems facing Bush, ranging from the economy to the guerrilla war in Iraq.

3. Interestingly, I just finished reading "Cicero" by Anthony Everitt |

and it's as though the Caesars are at it again, only this time they're on the side of the optimates (aristocrats) rather than the populares (radicals).

One moment I am sure that all of this cannot be over looked and bush and his minions are going down. Then I remember all the times I have been disappointed in the past.
