Did anyone fine a Quote from Bush saying Iraq was an imminent threat?
Or just that he implied it? If someone did find it, could you post it?

1. Bush
did not say it, we spinned it that way since it was so clearly implied.

However, Colin Powell did tell it to the internaional community.

2. AHHHH
Bush throughout his whole Iraq business didn't say it; he implied it.

Read this column by David Corn.

3. Does This Help?
From today's press "conference"

"Well, first of all, it's a one-time expenditure, as you know. And,
secondly, because a secure, a peaceful and free Iraq is essential to the security, the future security of America.

The first step was to remove Saddam Hussein because he was a threat, a gathering threat, as I think I put it."

4. he never said "imminent"
but only because he can't pronounce it.

He did say "within 45 minutes" which is imminent by anyone's definition.

8. Well, if Scott McClellan is speaking for Bush*, then here it is

QUESTION: What about NATO's role? Belgium now says it will veto any attempt to provide help to Turkey to defend itself. Is this something the administration can live with, or is it a major obstacle?

MR. McCLELLAN: Two points. We support the request under Article IV of Turkey. And I think it's important to note that the request from a country under Article IV that faces an imminent threat goes to the very core of the NATO alliance and its purpose.

QUESTION: What can you do about this veto threat?

MR. McCLELLAN: Well, again, I think what's important to remind NATO members, remind the international community is that this type of request under Article IV goes to the core of the NATO alliance.

QUESTION: Is this some kind of ultimate test of the alliance?

MR. McCLELLAN: This is about an imminent threat.

10. Mostly implication, by all of them
Especially where it counts, in official reports and testimony. There are a couple of inflammatory statements in those reports, but most of it really does present 'intelligence' about denial and deception. Quite craftily worded, as Bob Graham said. It was in the media that they hyped it all up, primarily. And as you may have noticed, the media whores tend to quote news sources instead of going to the offical reports and testimony. Those reports are available to the public most of the time. Too lazy to actually read them I guess.

That's what I saw had happened when I started going through it all several months ago. It actually made me madder than just exposing Bush as saying there was imminent threat when there wasn't any intelligence to support the claim. The way they did it, it's obvious they knew there was no intelligence to support their bullshit and they intentionally manipulated the little that they had to deceive everyone. Particularly Colin Powell's report in February. Despicable.
