6. I call 'em small "c" conservatives.
They're the people who have really thought about things. I rarely agree with them, but I find we want the same things, we just want to go about them differently.

You can always spot the small "c" conservatives if you ask a simple question: "Just what is it that you want to conserve?" Small "c" conservatives will have a ready answer, and you can discuss from there. Big "C" conservatives will at first give you a blank stare, then start dittoing out of context, kind of like devout Catholics saying Hail Marys as they pass the dirty movie theater.

The real, deep-seated rage against Bush is among the thoughtful conservatives. Many of them tell me they can't bring themselves to vote for a Democrat, but they'll undoubtedly vote third party rather than endorse the most corrupt regime in the history of this country.

And that, folks, is good enough for me.

5. Truly terrifying.
This President, through foolishness, negligence, bad information, and willful deceit, is destroying the nation of FDR, Harry Truman, JFK, Eisenhower and Thomas Jefferson.

There will no no "alms for the poor". Darwinian survival of the fittest will rule, and the Libertarians won't need a "Free State"...they'll all be "free". The Wild West will be back in full force, as will the robber barons and the Herbert Hoover mentality.

Hatreds that have been around since 1930 are boiling over. The American people, abetted by their lack of intellectual curoisity, have doomed themselves to serfdom.

JP Morgan would be proud.
