Ahh, how I love the Iraqi people!
CBS news tonight was doing a piece on the Hussein Bros. Interviewed several Iraqis who remained un convinced even with the pictures.

Imagine how great this country would be if the moron masses didn't believe everything Faux News and the Bush/Rove admin told them.

1. Bushie thinks everybody is as stupid
as he is. Pictures mean nothing, they can be faked. Show them the real things.

3. Considering all the lies

they've been told I would doubt it also. Too bad so many in this country swallow everything Dubya says.

2. Well to engender that kind of skepticism, I'm sorry to say
requires personal pain.

As the old Soviets had that level of skepticism, it was the result of 70 years of torture, judicial murder, wealth maldistribution (pretty funny considering it was a Marxist State), oppression, Gulaggings, and lies lies lies.

As the Iraqis have come to their understand of Totalitarian Regimes through 3 decades and how many more, before the CIA helped the Ba'athists to power, of the same.

Though I am encouraged recently by signs that perhaps the Old Republic is not dead, but rather badly wounded and perhaps capable of recovery, if the Imperial Family maintains control for the next four decades, you will see the Imperial Subjects of Amerika showing signs of that tragi-comical skepticism which smacks of an oppressed people living in a morally and economically bankrupt nation.

But I would rather restore/revive the Old Republic and go back to believing that 40% of what the government said.

4. Bush should take a cue from Braveheart...
At the end of that movie, the narrator describes how Longshanks and/or Prince Edward ordered that Wallace's body be torn to pieces and distributed across all corners of the kingdom as a warning. Crude? Yes. But certainly effective in a medieval sort of way, and it seems to fit the administration's style. Then, of course, there's the oldy-but-goody of just placing your enemy's head on a pike at the gates of the capital.

7. yeah but that could be anybody's leg
and besides, the medieval kings did that to scare everybody into submission. "So perish all the king's enemies" is how I believe it went........

Being a messenger in medieval times had its horrid moments no doubt.

The head on the spike thing though, that could work in this case. ;-)

5. They have an advantage over most Americans on that score
They KNOW Bush has lied to them repeatedly. Many Americans don't quite understand that. (Alas, too many DO know and don't seem to care. It's called denial.)

9. Right...
On NBC one of the Iraqis said you can't believe anything coming from the US. How true.
