Should the pics have been released?
Why of course, Republicans had to have something to jerk off to tonight.

1. Well, yes, if the context of the question is...
....do the right-wing ghouls need something to clip out and put on their refrigerators, do the frat boys need something to use for a dart board target, does the WHITE HOUSE STAFF need something to HIGH-FIVE over when they break out the Scotch tonight?
then the answer is "yes."

2. They got to keep deflecting attention away form Niger.
Sadly, it seems to be working.

3. I don't know whether they should have been released or not
but I sure as hell don't see how they can justify showing them on all the network cable stations every 10 minutes. Certainly, we don't need to be seeing them as often as we are and I've already dropped notes of complaint to CNN and MSNBC.

5. personally.....
I think it is pretty damn tasteless. And they wonder why the rest of the world hates us. Downright barbaric. They think its ok because they showed pictures of our dead. Two wrongs don't make a right, they just make it that more f!@#ed up.

6. No: Rummy complained about pics of US Soldiers
He has no right to publish the Pics of Saddam's Sons now IMHO.

7. release of pics
War is awful. Death, destruction, fear, children screaming and cowering, as horrific things happen around them. We should remind our fellow Americans in every possible way what ensues in war--to the innocent and the guilty. High quality pics are ok with me, although agreed, that they need not be shown 24/7

8. Why not show the pics of the 14 year old kid they killed too then?
Picking and choosing the photos won't accomplish what you are suggesting I am afraid. Welcome to DU musiclawyer.

9. Nearer to what Iraqis are accustomed, would be to drag the bodies
up and down the main boulevards. Releasing these pictures was mild, IMO. It won't convince everyone (nothing does). But if they had not released the photos, there'd be more tinhatting---there, and here.

11. Since Bushco are such liars,
they knew it was necessary to show proof of the deaths because no one would believe them. I was skeptical that they had really killed the brothers and thought it was just another Rove trick to deflect all of the recent criticism of the pResident. Since I don't watch cabel news, my viewing of the deceased has been by choice. I hope that the photos go away tomorrow. As for "Should the pics have been released?", I say no. I could have trusted an Iraqi cleric's identification of the bodies. Do I think that the killings were necessary? - NO. Does the killing make me approve of the war, err illegal invasion? - NO. Just another photo op/theatrical presentation.

12. No. I think their deaths ultimately puts the troops in more danger.

They should have stood trial.

>Aren't we trying to show the Iraqis how to run a democracy?<
Yep, sarcasm.

considering who OK'd it & the flimsy ass reasons 4 releasing..it reveals more about their twisted views of humanity than their 'endless evil' rhetoric will about the sons!
