3. they are being accused of additional |
|
fraud, to their vendors. To the tune of 500 million a year, and allegedly it is still ongoing. What is with this company? And they have huge govt. contracts, too. http://us.rd.yahoo.com/finance/news/topnews/* http://biz.yahoo.com/rb/030727/telecoms_worldcom_mci_3.html

most corrupt business in the 90`s. the bastards would switch our long distance all the time...we`d get bills from them but we had att business phone and rates ,then they would go after our home phones. we finally got att to straighten out mci and we got rebates from att for our trouble. mci -world com ,those guys should all be in jail...

7. Same here but then the charges would be 25 cents per minute... |
|
rather than the 7 or 5 cents that was offered as the plan they put us on.... we would get long-distance bills for 300-400 dollars per month, have to dispute the charges and hassle MCI until they credited the charges back. Our local phone company almost turned off our home phone because of the amounts of money stacking up as "overdue" from the disputed amounts.
It was a nightmare and I still think they did it on purpose. So many elderly or clueless customers don't bother disputing excessive fees or are intimidated into paying something they don't actually owe :-(

banned MCI from further govt. CONtracts. Though, they do keep the ones they have. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030801/ap_on_go_ot/mci_investigation_7Reminds me of the Titanic. :nopity:
